We landed at 6am, after a 17 hour flight and hit the ground running! As we check in to our hotel with an amazing view of the Sydney harbor and bridge, it is still surreal to think that we are in this beautiful country. From the culture, language, architecture, it will leave you wide eyed and jaw dropped.
As we head to the Taronga Zoo on a ferry through the Sydney Harbor, the view alone is astonishing. Absolutely clear sky, city skyline with most of its original architecture from over 100 years ago, Sydney Opera House, Sydney Bridge, all in one sight where even a picture does not do it justice.
Heading into the zoo for our behind the scenes tour and being surprised with meet and greets with a few Aussie animals was
my highlight, as I am a huge animal lover. Koalas, sea lions, emus, and kangaroos were just some of the animals we were able to feed and touch. I personally love learning about animals at zoos ( Fact:Koalas are not bears, they are marsupials ) what they eat, how they survive in the wild, becoming extinct and how the zoo is helping stop that with breeding and conservations.
I couldn’t have started this trip any better and can’t wait to experience everything else we have in store!
