Behind the scenes of #NYFW2015
From Alli: “Trends are always changing, they come in and they go out. Getting to work behind the scenes at New York Fashion Week is how I keep up with what the latest hair, makeup and clothing trends will be for the upcoming season.Hair and makeup continue to follow in the “I just woke up like this” trend. The very undone, chic, nomadic street girl kind of look. On the runways I saw sleek, yet messy low pony tails as well as pony tails looped half way through the hair tie leaving the ends sticking out.
Effortless looking styles that actually still take time to create perfectly, but look like we just woke up. Makeup looks featured semi matte skin creating a natural and glowy look without looking like a lot of makeup and a natural soft flush of color to the cheeks in rosy tones. If applying contour to the cheeks it is done with a very neutral shadow like Petal Essence Eye Color Trio in Gobi Sands. I am seeing more highlighted neutral glowing skin and less of the bronzed warm shimmer contour.
Lips are nude or soft pinks and rose that are lightly applied to look like just a stain of color to lips and not vibrant or shiny. Think of it as if you put your gloss on and then blotted it back off. At the end of the makeup application I also added Beautifying Composition to the tops of the cheekbones for added sheen to the skin.”
